Dyson Air Purifier Guide: Big+Quiet vs Humidify+Cool vs Find+Follow vs HushJet

Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde

Short answer: pick by room size. For a large living room or open-plan space, choose the Big+Quiet Formaldehyde. For a bedroom or desk, the small HushJet Compact is enough. If you also want a fan, look at the Find+Follow Purifier Cool. If dry air bothers you, the Purifier Humidify+Cool adds a humidifier.

What about formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde can come from new furniture, paint and some cleaning products. The Formaldehyde models are designed to capture and destroy it, not just trap it, which is useful in new or freshly painted homes.

Getting the most from a purifier

  • Keep windows closed while it runs, especially on dusty days.
  • Place it where air can move freely around it, not in a corner behind furniture.
  • Replace filters when the MyDyson app tells you to.

Frequently asked questions

Will it help with dust in Egypt?
An air purifier removes fine dust and particles from the air in the room. It works best with windows closed and a model sized for your room.

Is BP06 different from BP04?
Both are large-room Big+Quiet Formaldehyde purifiers. The BP06 is the HEPA version with a 3-pin (Type G) plug; check each listing for the plug type.
